FATHER'S DAY BUNDLE 2025
Happy Father's Day to everyone out there! I have compiled a wonderful trio of songs for you as a special treat to celebrate the bond between fathers and their children. Over the years I have played all three of my dad's signature guitar songs as a way to keep my relationship alive with my dad. In this Trifecta collection, I have shared with you some of my best renditions both musically and from a sound recreation standpoint. Please enjoy!
1. Zoot Allures - Germany 2017
2. Black Napkins - Chicago 2008
3. Watermelon In Easter Hay - Atlanta 2017
Well, I finally downloaded Watermelon, I just couldn't do it until now. At my daughter's 16th birthday party, I played my lamo lil version for her. Your version is much less lamo Dweezil, than mine, said the Marshwiggle.
Frank left the world of music instruction his greatest gift with Watermelon and nobody gets it. It is more important than the Yellow Shark, I say! I'll die on this hill.
Ready? Watermelon is the ultimate first music lesson song. F**k Happy Birthday. F**k Twinkle Twinkle. Imagine if the first song you learned was Watermelon. You learn to count. You learn to count in nine. You use the title of the song to count it. Wah-ter-mel-on-in-the-east-er-hay. F**k do-re-mi (with all respect to R&H and Julie Andrews).
The more you think about it, the more you grow, the more the song teaches you! I'd even venture to say that Master Guitarist, Dweezil, is probably still learning from this deceptively simple little song. I have to believe Frank knew exactly what he was doing here. You could even teach the Stones to play it. It is so funny. It is so Yoda. Imagine creating the perfect beginner song.
Dweezil, it bothers me that it bothers you that you may lose the ability to execute certain inexecutable passages aka crazy Steve Vai s**t that Frank wrote. I believe I can be of some help here. You might want to sit down for this one. STOP PRACTICING THE ELECTRIC GUITAR. NOW! You have your Edward, right? Well I have my Dweezil.
You ought to look at Vladimir Horowitz, and maybe Miles Davis? They both completely stopped for 5 years. Both got their chops back in 2 weeks. I'm not saying you should do that, but it makes the point, and the point is Mastery. Before I stayed in my sister's loft near Nevada City, in 1974, when I got my first guitar, a Greco Goldtop Les Paul, the previous tenant was a cat named, I s**t you not, Swami Satchidananda, the guy who opened Woodstock? I promise, your honor, I'm coming to the point. Almost everyone has seen that Hatha Yoga book with the Swami doing all those insane poses? What you may not know is that he didn't warm up when he did that shoot and he hadn't done those poses in 15 years! Check this out. When asked how he could do that he said. It is simple. I mastered it decades ago. Once you master something, why would you keep practicing?
So, my Dweezil, converts all his practice time to family time, dog time. My Dweezil reads how Miles paid his guys rehearsal time and demanded they not touch their instruments, they couldn't warm up, no set list, he called the tune as counted it off.
So, anyway, my Dweezil starts just showing up everywhere, sitting in with anyone who will let him. Even my Dweezil isn't wired to quit. But my Dweezil starts to realize that he did it. He did what he said he would do, and he saved Frank's music
in spite of Zift! Industries best efforts to ruin the catalog. He curated it, performed it, and kept it alive, like that dude surfing Mavericks all alone for year. Saving Frank's music. He did it. Mastering guitar. He did it. Now what?
My Dweezil, and the Hot Ratz announce they will be tackling several pieces from Charles Mingus' 1964 performance at Cornell. They been unintentionally building up to it for years. It would be so awesome to see them perform Fables of Faubus, with the vocals, especially in this day and age.
Then, my Dweezil reunites with noted literary terrorist, and all around babe, Moon U. Zappa and they drop a hardcore freakout album called "I Pledge Allegiance, to the Flag, of the United States of THEY'RE EATING THE CATS AND THEY'RE EATING THE DOGS!!!". My Dweezil, gets his first Top Ten single, following the Universal Law/Curse that states no Zappa male, no matter how hard or long they toil shall never have a top ten single without Moon. Now wouldn't the revenue of a top ten single be helpful. In fact, my Dweezil would just shamelessly remake Valley girl, and make bank bro.
Thanks for the Father's Day Bundle Dweezil
I can't Frank you enough.
"Absolutely stunning collection! The way you’ve captured the essence of these songs is truly remarkable. Zoot Allures has such a unique charm, and your performance from Germany 2017 does it justice. Black Napkins in Chicago 2008 is timeless, and the emotional depth of Watermelon In Easter Hay from Atlanta 2017 is breathtaking. It’s clear that your connection with your dad through music is something really special. Thank you for sharing this meaningful trifecta with us—it’s an inspiring tribute to fathers everywhere!
Also, for those who are into unique and creative experiences, I recently came across pokerouge.cc, a fan-made Pokémon roguelike game. It’s a fun and challenging journey that keeps you hooked with its clever mix of strategy and randomness. Highly recommend checking it out if you love games that spark nostalgia while offering something new!"
Hi! Yesterday after work, I decided to take a break and visited Star Casino Gold Coast UK The slots are so exciting that I forgot about the tea on the table—it got cold, but I kept playing and laughing with excitement. Even small wins brought me joy. It's like therapy after a hard day.
