Parallela Jam

The whole idea of figured bass is the attempt to get away from "block chord changes" with a parallel look, feel, and sound.
This is why "they" say to avoid parallels where ever possible. It just doesn't sound very good.
Bach tip #1: It has to sound good.
The melody from the descending of a simple C major triad, 1-3-5 all the way down is an example of this no-no.
The melody would be G, F, E, etc.
But what if you took that melody against an opposing bassline and altered it here and there?
