Reward Music

This was a strange song for sure. I was looking for some new sounds, so I headed over to Neural DSP to check out the plug-in selection. I wound up downloading a few free demo versions, and after spending some time with them, I came across this lead sound that really impressed me. I'm not going to go into all the details here, maybe a blog post, but this wound up being the dominant lead sound all over this record. I'm using the Mateus Asato plug-in, and I believe the amp I'm using is modeled after a Bogner.

This song has an Exotic vibe to it, well, I think so, but anyway, hence the title. The playing was very challenging for me, and I kept many first takes because I knew I couldn't pull off some of the riffs again. It was also hard to mix. I enjoyed the final production, so I kept it.
