So I've been listening to a lot of LED Zeppelin the past couple weeks and this song came forward. In particular, the recently remixed "Live EP" by engineer Kevin Shirley. It's from the Earl's Court and Knebworth shows. It sounds AMAZING! I've also been listening to Physical Graffiti, Coda and Jimmy's solo album "Outrider".  I wish he'd give us one more solo album.

I came up with the rhythm guitar part first. I decided to keep it a straight ahead blues/rock tune. Be sure to pay attention for the Pagey riff in the beginning. I think my Gov't Mule influences also came out on this song especially the guitar solo.

The lyrics meld together with "The Forest" and "Digging a Hole" that are included in this "Demos" section of my website. I'm using some of the same characters and building their stories.

I used Jimmy and his partner, Scarlett Sabet, for inspiration in the lyrics. Scarlett is a very accomplished poet and John Keats fan. As am I.

Also don't let the third verse scare you. I think there is another song coming for these two, with an unexpected twist.

I put some ZEP inspired voices at the end. I'm going to use those voices for the jumping off point to the next tune in these characters saga. It will probably be a ballad maybe suited for ZEP IV or Houses of the Holy.

I hope you dig it. Leave me a review in the comments!

James Patrick practiced Magick

You must remember his name

On strings of Gold, his story's told

Of all his pleasure and pain

Prepare to lose, meet his Muse

She mingles down by the water

Hair of fire, lips, desire

The Prophet warned she's a charmer

Whoa. Whoa

Forgotten Son, Chosen One

The Shepherd brought him to smite her

To take her tricks, kill the Witch

Take her out in her slumber
